Rayalaseema Pulagam



Pulagam

Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup ( Sona masoori)
Split moong dal with skin - 1/4 th cup
Turmeric powder  - pinch
Salt - to taste

Preperation:
Wash Rice and Moong dal together in rice and cooker and cook just like white rice.
Add salt and turmeric in to water before cooking.

Peanut Chutney

Ingredients:
Peanuts - 1 cup
onion - 1 medium
Tomatoes - 2
Green chillis - 6 ( as per your spice level)
tamarind - small lime size
Cilantro
Salt

Preperation:
Dry roast peanuts and keep aside and let it cool
In a pan take a table spoon of oil and add sliced onions and whole green chillis and sliced tomatoes
and cook till they are soft and in the end add tamarind and cilantro and cook for 5 more minutes and keep aside and let it cool.

Grind the peanuts in to fine powder and add the cooked onion mix and salt as per taste and grind together slightly . Do not make a smmoth paste.

Pachi pulusu

Ingredients:
Tamarind extract - 2 tb spoons
Boiled Tomatoe extarct - 1
Roasted chick pea(Roasted dalia) powder - 1 tb sp
Cilantro
chopped onions - 1/2 cup
red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric powder - pinch

Add all the above ingredients and cook for 10 mins
Take pan and add 1tsp oil and add 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds, 1tsp cumin seeds and 1 dry red chilli and at last add some curry leaves and add this tampering to the above pulusu.

Serve hot rice (pulagam ) with peanut cutney and pulusu.
